Chu Cho Industries LP. (CCI) is a resource and heavy construction company that works primarily within the forestry, mining, and transportation industries. CCI specializes in timber harvesting, transportation, resource road construction, road maintenance and operation of resource camps. CCI is based in Mackenzie BC and most work is completed within the Mackenzie/Williston Lake area.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of mechanical and wiring, electronic systems, diagnostics, and an ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure tasks are completed and to ensure vehicle safety for Company vehicles. This position would primarily work remotely on a at our Mackenzie shop and at various remote sites in the Mackenzie and Williston Lake areas. Accommodations are provided as necessary.

Job Duties:

•

Inspect, repair, and adjust light duty vehicles, primarily pick-up trucks.

•

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles

•

Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections

•

Conduct vehicle inspections and identify worn or damaged parts

•

Use diagnostic tools and equipment to determine vehicle problems

•

Follow manufacturer specifications and technical manuals

•

Maintain accurate records of services and repairs

•

Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area

•

Communicate effectively with customers and service advisors

•

Stay current with automotive technology and repair techniques

•

Perform incidental welding operations on equipment

•

Adhere to workplace and site safety policies, regulations, and compliances

•

Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor to facilitate prompt correction or reporting

•

Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service

Requirements:

•

Red Seal or Journeyman (British Columbia) certification

•

5 years’ minimum experience

•

Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components

•

Experience with logging trucks and heavy equipment is considered an asset

•

Experience with A/C repairs is considered an asset

•

Experienced using computerized diagnostic devices

•

Possess a minimum valid class 5 drivers license

•

Ability to work independently in a busy environment

•

Experience with routine maintenance operations

•

Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

•

Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

•

Able to work well under pressure
