CNP is a leading company in the utility industry and is seeking a highly motivated Material Specialist to join its Gas Utility team. In this role, you will be responsible for procurement RFQ/RFP bidding processes. managing purchase orders, invoicing, material records, and ensuring smooth communication with suppliers and internal teams. The role involves executing PR reports, managing past-due purchase orders, and reconciling invoices to resolve discrepancies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in SAP and Excel, and have a solid understanding of material management processes, contributing to a streamlined supply chain.
Procurement & RFQ/RFP Management: Lead the end-to-end procurement process, including preparing and issuing RFQs/RFPs, evaluating vendor proposals, and negotiating contracts to secure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
Purchase Order Management: Oversee the creation and tracking of purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of material requirements.
Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Inventory & Material Planning: Collaborate with planning and production teams to forecast material needs, manage inventory levels, and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize ERP systems and other tools to analyze procurement data, monitor supplier performance, and generate reports to inform decision-making.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records of contracts, bids, and purchase orders.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Over 5 years of experience in supply chain management, or a related field with a focus on process improvement and material management.
Proficient in ERP systems SAP Fusion & S4/HANA and other supply chain management tools.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to procurement and materials management.
Previous experience with invoice reconciliation tool and PO management.
Ability to perform root cause analysis and generate dynamic reporting tools to improve supply chain operations.
