About the Position:

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to fill the position of

Associate Buyer

in Deer Park, Texas.

The Associate Buyer program is designed to attract and build future leaders by giving them focused exposure to purchasing and supply chain functions that are critical to our organization. The successful candidate will learn more about purchasing policy and compliance, assist with buying, and support commercial negotiations.

Essential Job Duties:

- Work closely with regional purchasing and strategic sourcing to understand the needs of our Texas plants.

- Purchase goods and services at the most favorable costs and support the use of national strategic suppliers.

- Drive exceptional performance from regional suppliers and leverage those relationships to drive process improvements. This includes oversight and reporting of metrics related to supplier performance, cost savings, and spending.

- Drive assigned purchasing initiatives and execute process improvements.

- Monitor market intelligence and use this data to evaluate, analyze, and develop purchasing strategies.

- Specific duties include creating purchase orders, expediting orders, reconciling past due orders, resolving invoicing errors, and assuring compliance with our contractor management program.

- Provide after-hours purchasing support.

- Ensure all activities are done in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Distribution, Engineering, or a closely related Business discipline is required.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

- Ability to take initiative and drive for results.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).

- Willingness to travel and relocate.

- Must maintain minimum cumulative 2.85 GPA on 4.0 scale.

- Graduation date between December 2025 – May 2026.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

- Prior supply chain internship experience.

- Knowledge of supply chain terms, concepts, and processes.

- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP S/4 HANA and Ariba enterprise software.

- Proficiency in Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Power BI, etc.).
