The Role:

Keystone Clearwater is hiring an Assistant Yard Manager to support the overall management of a designated yard, including asset tracking, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and coordination of transportation. This role will assist in organizing the yard, communicating with operations staff, and ensuring timely delivery and upkeep of company assets. The position requires strong organizational and mechanical skills and will report directly to the Yard Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Yard Operations & Asset Management:

•

Monitor accurate and detailed inventory levels and order based on equipment and parts usage

•

Assist with coordination and scheduling of trucks, trailers, and field equipment with operations staff

•

Maintain rental and owned asset tracking for usage, location, and billing

•

Operate and maintain yard equipment (telehandler, skid steer) to load/unload and organize materials

•

Oversee yard facility maintenance, including equipment upkeep, parking areas, and building condition

•

Maintain a clean, organized yard layout with equipment accessible and protected as needed

•

Assist with troubleshooting employee or operational issues related to logistics or equipment

Procurement & Documentation:

•

Support procurement by coordinating supply and material acquisition from vendors

•

Track delivery processes and maintain accuracy in all receiving documentation

•

Utilize computer-based systems for inventory and resource tracking

Communication & Support:

•

Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Managers, and Directors to meet fast-paced operational needs

•

Support emergency equipment or part requests as needed

•

Demonstrate professional communication in verbal, written, and phone interactions

Requirements:

•

High school diploma or equivalent trade school/training required

•

Minimum 2 years’ experience managing tools, equipment, and yard operations

•

Valid PA, WV, or OH driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record (last 3 years)

•

Mechanical aptitude and basic repair skills

•

Experience operating telehandler and skid steer preferred

•

Proficiency with computers and digital inventory systems

•

Excellent communication and multitasking skills

•

Strong attention to detail, organization, and planning

•

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Schedule:

Full-Time | Yard-Based | Outdoor Work Required

Work is performed in shop, yard, and field settings with frequent exposure to weather, equipment noise, and physically demanding tasks. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, operate machinery, and work in outdoor environments year-round.
