ASSISTANT MATERIAL HANDLER

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and eager Assistant Material Handler to join our dynamic team. This company is seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Material Handler to become a foundational member of our Production Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Material Handler with managing the movement of materials within the Shop, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of Shop distribution processes and the ability to operate various equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

Duties:

- Supply the Shop with materials needed for each day to run Production.

- Ensure all shavings and scrap material boxes are in place at the start of each shift.

- Move full boxes and pallets with pallet jack to designated areas, when needed.

- Keep Bay A organized throughout the day.

- Place all empty totes in designated areas.

- Help keep the Shop floor clean. (Keep aisles free of shavings.)

Reasoning Ability:

- Previous experience in a Shop environment is preferred, with specific experience in material handling or order picking.

- The ability to read/understand work instructions as written in job routings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 47.5 per week
