This is an exciting opportunity to join the Operations Team at UtiliQuest, LLC as a Assistant Manager Operations Management supporting our New Jersey Region. The Assistant Manager Operations Management reports directly to the Operations Center Manager. In this role, the ideal candidate will
manage the daily field operations of a work center through Supervisors and fostering direct relationships with clients, excavators, and employees.

What you’ll do as a Assistant Manager Operations Management
Field Operations:
•Collaborates with Center Manager to set Center goals and Supervisor Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets
•Attends customer, Damage Prevention and regulatory meetings when needed
•Participates with coordination and completion of any process or procedural pilots being conducted in the field
•May temporarily assume additional managerial responsibilities, as needed
Safety:
•Serves as a consistent field presence from management level
•Delivers DriveCam accountability by meeting with technicians identified as “high risk” to perform high level coaching and ensure management participation in RDC sessions
•Performs “ride-alongs” with supervisors and technicians to promote and maintain safety culture
Quality:
•Ensures required post damage/failed audit training is properly conducted and corrective action and/or disciplinary action has been completed
•Provides field presence to enforce our proper locating procedures (i.e. pro ten steps, client procedures, etc.)
•Bridges the gap from FieldCheck audits and daily doc audits to the audits being performed in the field; closes the loop from identified field risks and improve quality of risk being passed to field for validation
Mentoring:
•Bridges Trainee and Technician gaps between training and Field by assisting Supervisors in determining if Trainees are properly prepared before entering the field
•communicates any performance deficiencies identified to Center Manager and Training Department
•Coordinates with Center Manager to create an effective mentoring process; assign mentors to trainees, execute and oversee the process
Administrative:
•Ensures Wage & Hour compliance in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
•Validates personnel time reports and timesheet Exception Summary
•Coordinates and oversees LMC function in areas where this process is being utilized
•Ability to manage data and look for trends to improve safety and quality

What you’ll need
High school diploma or GED required
•Two or more years of management / supervisory experience
•Must have a valid driver’s license that is deemed acceptable by the company
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as; safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
•Ability to effectively communicate with employees, clients, and excavators
•Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations such as footage, percentages
•Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions
•Ability to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear
•Ability to frequently stand; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
•Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
•Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Salary Range $85000 to $95000 comensurate with experience
