Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Asset Manager plays a critical role in maintaining efficient and profitable operation of CVE’s solar power plants and energy storage systems through close monitoring and optimization of operational and financial performance, budget tracking and forecasting, and commitment tracking and follow up. The Asset Manager will coordinate and collaborate with all CVE departments as well as external contractors and stakeholders to maximize profitability and ensure compliance with all agreements, permits, and relevant rules and regulations.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Establish, track, analyze, and optimize the operations and maintenance budget
· Analyze system performance, report findings, and assist with identifying opportunities for improvement
· Complete technical and financial follow-ups as needed
· Manage all project warranty programs including tracking and follow up on equipment replacements and repairs
· Identify, track, and follow up on all financial covenants and obligations including lease payments, taxes, and other financial obligations
· Complete and/or assist with financial analyses as well as refinancing, OPEX analysis, and financial audits
· Manage and control utility and other third-party service providers billing
· Support with financial audits and refinancing efforts
· Coordinate property Insurance policy coverage and claims
· Develop and implement strategies to protect assets from financial and operational risks
· Enforce and promote CVE’s Health and Safety policies
· Understand and support ISO 9001 and 14001 certification processes
· Oversee the preparation and submission of regular performance and financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
· Tracking and monitoring critical project Information, including but not limited to permits, contracts/agreements, ensuring timely action Is taken for any associated commitments, renewals, expirations, payments, etc.
· Implement software solution for commitment tracking, reporting and follow up and keep internal ERP system up to date
· Represent the company with landowners, investors, and local authorities (AHJs), including utilities, police and fire departments, and regulatory agencies
· Manage external and Intercompany contracts and all associated commitments
· Ensure all contractual obligations are adhered to
· Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with two (2) years working experience in a related job function
· You are organized, have strict attention to detail, and drive for continuous Improvement
· Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax requirements and processes
· You are an excellent communicator, able to present to a group, and clearly deliver information
· You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment yet remain a self starter, capable of working Independently and managing multiple projects at a time
· You are Interested In learning new skills and applying them to your work
· Proficiency with Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Experience with data analysis and project management software Including ERP systems
· Ability to commute to the NYC corporate office
· Ability to travel occasionally (including overnight) to project sites located throughout the US
