Job Summary:
The Rental Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of rental assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, utilization, transfers, and retirement. This role ensures maximum asset efficiency, compliance with maintenance schedules, and supports operational needs across branches to meet customer demand.
What You’ll Do – The Role (Responsibilities)
•Asset Management & Utilization
+ Monitor and track rental asset inventory across all branches.
+ Analyze asset utilization data to identify underperforming equipment and make recommendations for redeployment or divestment.
+ Ensure assets are available and ready to meet rental demands.
+ Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and repairs to minimize downtime.
+ Liaise with service teams or vendors to ensure timely asset servicing.
+ Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair history.
•Asset Transfers & Logistics
+ Manage inter-branch transfers of assets based on demand and availability.
+ Coordinate logistics and documentation for asset movement.
+ Ensure accurate inventory control during and after transfers.
•Data Management & Reporting
+ Maintain an up-to-date asset management system or database.
+ Generate regular reports on utilization, status, and condition of rental assets.
+ Provide insights to management for budgeting, procurement, and fleet optimization.
+ Ensure all assets comply with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
+ Assist in audits and inspections related to rental equipment.
What You Need (Requirement)
•Proven experience in asset management, logistics, or rental operations.
•Strong organizational and analytical skills.
•Proficient in asset tracking or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Fleetio).
•Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
•Excellent communication and coordination skills.
•Valid driver’s license (if travel or on-site inspections are required).
•Background in industries such as construction, heavy equipment, logistics, or rental services.
•Familiarity with fleet management and maintenance practices.
