Job Title: Senior Residential Architect

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Residential Architect to lead the design and development of residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for creating functional, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainable living spaces. This role involves overseeing all phases of architectural projects, from initial concept through to construction administration, while ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership: Develop innovative architectural designs for residential homes/remodels, including single-family homes, and custom homes. Ensure that designs meet client expectations while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Project Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, design development, documentation, permitting, bidding, and construction administration. Collaborate closely with project managers and other members of the organization.

Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Present design concepts clearly and effectively through sketches, renderings, and models.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the construction process to ensure seamless integration of all project elements.

Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications. Address any issues that arise during the construction phase promptly.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations. Prepare necessary documentation for permits and approvals from authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).

Sustainability Practices: Stay informed about sustainable building practices and materials. Incorporate energy-efficient solutions into designs where possible.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in residential architecture or related fields.

Strong proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

In-depth knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, construction methods, materials selection, and sustainability practices (LEED accreditation preferred).

Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to clients and team members.

Proven leadership abilities with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
