JOB DESCRIPTION:
Central Southern is a heavy civil contractor and we are seeking a Project Archeologist. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting archeological research and excavations.
•Independently conduct field work, excavation and assist with testing
•Create studies and reports
•Identify any previously undocumented archaeological deposits during construction activities
•Maintain detailed records and create survey records
Qualifications:
•Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a closely related field.
•Some academic or hands-on experience in archaeological research, including coursework, lab work, or field school participation.
•At least four months of supervised fieldwork or analytical experience related to North American archaeology (can include field school or volunteer work).
•Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to contribute to or complete academic or project-based research tasks.
