The Analytical Technician plays a key role in supporting laboratory operations by conducting tests and analyses to ensure product quality and compliance. This role involves performing routine testing on raw materials, experimental products, and finished products using instruments such as FTIR, TGA, ICP, LC, GC, AA, DSC, UV-Vis, Viscosity, and other wet chemistry techniques. The Technician assists with sample preparation and analyses while following established protocols and regulatory standards (ISO, EPA, OSHA).
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential for success in this role. This position offers opportunities to develop technical skills and gain valuable experience in analytical methods within a collaborative laboratory environment.
1. Perform accurate and timely testing of raw materials, in-process samples, experimental samples, and final products.
2. Follow established lab procedures and prioritize tasks as directed.
3. Maintain documentation aligned with ISO standards and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
4. Assist with managing lab inventory as needed.
5. Maintain laboratory solvent and reagent containers to be ready for use.
a. Quality Control samples from Manufacturing Plants, Tollers, Suppliers.
c. Manufacturing issues to identify potential root causes.
d. Compositional analyses of exploratory samples from Research and Development.
e. New sources of raw materials and resale products to determine whether the quality meets our needs and requirements.
2. Associate’s Degree and/or other Chemistry courses a plus
5. 0 to 5 years of laboratory or technical environment
