POSITION SUMMARY:

Marathon Petroleum Company LP-El Paso Refinery has an opening for a Refining Laboratory Technician. A Laboratory Technician Performs standardized laboratory tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of solid, liquid, or gaseous hydrocarbons and water samples for quality and process control.

This position does not include relocation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Testing of refining feedstock and intermediates to assist with daily refinery operations such as, but not limited to, gas chromatography analysis, octane testing, volatility, and physical properties.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum (Required) Qualifications* Completed bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science with a minimum of 20 credit hours in Chemistry.

Preferred Qualifications* Two years related laboratory experience.

Pay and Benefits

Starting rate is $32.53 per hour with the potential of earning up to $52.51 and highly competitive benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision benefit options, Paid Parental Leave, Company Match on 401(k) Contributions, Cash Balance Pension Retirement Plan and much more!
