Analyst Development Acquisitions

ContourGlobal is an established Independent Power Producer developing, acquiring, and operating electricity generation assets worldwide. The company currently manages more than 6.2 GW of installed capacity across different generation technologies in 18 countries across Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America. With a current share of renewables capacity of 27%, the company has committed to speed up the decarbonization of its portfolio with a sustainable transition of its thermal fleet, the repowering of existing renewable assets and the organic development of new renewable projects. ContourGlobal, a KKR company since 2022, has a track record of almost 20 years of experience in partnering with communities, institutions, and customers that benefit from its power supply through long-term contracts or innovative PPAs, coupled with energy management solutions.

We are seeking a dynamic Analyst to support the team in leading acquisitions of renewable energy projects that are in development, at RtB/NTP, and in construction. This role is important in expanding our renewable energy portfolio. You will be the focal point of critical development projects and acquisitions and responsible for driving the success of these projects from beginning to end.

Key Responsibilities:

- You will be responsible for owning the model and all financial analysis for every transaction you work on. At ContourGlobal, this is a role with significant responsibility. You must model complex businesses in Excel in a way that is rigorous, clear, intuitive, and flexible.

- You will be required to prepare compelling presentations that lay out clear investment theses on why a project provides an attractive risk-adjusted return.

- You will be required to work across the company to determine the appropriate valuation assumptions and inputs, and rigorously challenge and debate the correct assumptions with colleagues

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

- Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience in renewable energy project development and/or acquisitions.

- World-class modelling and quantitative abilities

- An ability to provide investment analysis quickly and with clarity

- An ability to prepare compelling materials describing a transaction and value drivers and then present with clarity to the most senior executives at ContourGlobal in high-pressure situations

- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
