The employee in this classification is responsible to provide administrative land support and assistance in preparing, registering and administering land rights and easements. The employee provides administrative support in managing documents and processing payments relating to easements and land rights while assisting with departmental and project initiatives, documenting business requirements while translating them into reports, processes improvements and testing documentation. This position provides support to both internal and external customers in answering questions and inquiries. This position will also be responsible to identify and document stakeholder requirements and departmental initiatives for projects to ensure delivered solutions meet stakeholder and departmental needs.
- Prepare, register and administer land rights and easements and retrieve and/or enter information within a variety of applications
- Manage documents and process payments relating to easement and land rights requirements
- Research, analyze, administer and maintain procedures, documentation and communications for the department
- Formulate standards and procedures related to a variety of functions
- Resolve inquiries for both internal and external customers and provide documentation to end users regarding departmental programs
- Assist with and prepare spread sheets and reports as required
- Develop queries for various reporting purposes
- Participate in process re-engineering activities to identify business enabling solutions and areas of improvement
- Assist and participate in the coordination and preparation of business materials for departmental and project teams
- Assist in the implementation of organizational change (people, process and technology)
- Facilitate meetings to gather and document business and project requirements
- Act as a liaison between business and technical resources
- Utilize corporate applications and maintain files, records and databases associated with departmental functions
- Provide assistance to functional work teams or project teams, as requested
- Participate in continuous educational and professional development as required
- Other related duties, as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, or equivalent AND/OR;
- Five (5) years of related experience in real property acquisition, easement and legal property, or equivalent
- Knowledge of standard business analysis practices, including requirements gathering, business case development and business processes and information technology
- Ability to analyze functional/technological information and business needs and identify and implement solutions
- Ability to complete multiple, simultaneous projects, within tight deadlines and under minimal supervision
- Knowledge of information technology processes
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
This positions falls with in the scope of the Unifor Local 649.
