About the Role:
In this 12-month opportunity, the Advisor, Sponsorships & Community Investment, is responsible for supporting and assisting in developing the Corporate sponsorship and community investment function within their assigned areas of responsibilities at ATCO. This involves fostering and strengthening relationships with community leaders, customers and employees in ATCO service communities. This position will play a key role in supporting our ATCO EPIC employee giving program and working with our internal volunteer planning committees to develop and maintain an effective program.
What You Get to Do:
- Support ATCO’s international ATCO EPIC giving program and work with employee-led planning teams
- Responsible for managing ATCO’s YourCause employee giving portal
- Support employee engagement opportunities through ATCO’s sponsorships and employee giving programs
- Assist with the design, development and implementation of employee engagement programs to support internal “reputation” enhancement
- Support the administration of contracts related to sponsorships, contributions and donations
- Develop comprehensive communications/content plans used to promote and educate internal and external stakeholders on our partnership and employee giving programs
- Contribute to building ATCO’s brand by supporting high-level initiatives, special projects, events and campaigns
- Supervise and direct onsite Brand Ambassadors and volunteers.
- Attend and contribute to department and administrative meeting
- Monitor and respond to sponsorship requests in our Grants by Benevity system
- Track metrics and create “Go to Market” project summary reports
- Tracking/processing invoices by project
- Post secondary education in a related field
- 3-5 years of related sponsorship and/or community investment experience
- Well-developed project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects with multiple deadlines
- Flexibility to accommodate special event requirements outside of normal working hours
- Experience with managing sponsorship activations
- Knowledge of the design, development and evaluation of effective sponsorship programs and practices
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good judgment in dealing with complex issues and conflict situations
- Business acumen, strategic planning, negotiation skills, leadership, innovation and cultural sensitivity
- Superior relationship building and networking skills
- Ability and willingness to shift from strategic thinking to tactical execution
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with programs like and YourCause and Grants by Benevity is considered an asset
- Experience with video content, social media and influencers is an asset
- Ability to speak French is an asset
