Job Overview
FHG, Inc. is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team. This individual will serve a cross functional role and support general accounting, project accounting, and accounts payable. The ideal candidate has experience in accounting for a mid-size construction company and working with an ERP system. This individual will assist the team with advancing our core values of integrity and excellence. The position will be based in our Charlotte, NC headquarters.

Essential Responsibilities:
•Process and reconcile change orders, subcontracts, purchase orders, and billings as needed
•Assist with Accounts payable review and coding, entry as needed for project costs
•Work directly with project managers to ensure that projects meet accounting standards and monthly deadlines
•Responsible for managing company credit card programs, including issuing cards, monitoring transactions, enforcing spending policies, and reconciling statements to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
Required Experience:
•Experience with ERP accounting systems preferred
•College Degree preferred
•Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration
Required Skills:
•Understanding of general accounting concepts
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
•Strong attention to detail
•Proven organizational and time management skills, with ability to meet deadlines
•Driven to learn and understand the accounting modules of our ERP system
•Strong internal customer service/relationship approach
•Demonstrated problem solving capability

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
