Accounting Manager

Additionally, many of Kaiser’s customers have been with the company since its inception, and today, some of the most valuable freight on the road is transported on Kaiser premium trucks.

We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager to lead our Accounting Department. Someone with curiosity, a career growth mindset and a strong desire to keep learning. This person will work with and be mentored by our CFO who began with Kaiser as our Accounting Manager 15 years ago, and who both understands and relates to the challenges and opportunities of the role. This person will have a strong understanding of GAAP, possess strong analytical skills and wants to work in an environment where questions are welcomed. Core Responsibilities:

•Supervises Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, and Payroll

•Analyzes and reports on financial statement variances

•Manages month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes

•Prepares sales and use tax and franchise tax returns

•Prepares, reviews, and submits periodic financial reports

•Maintains documented policies and procedures

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (preferred) or,

•Associates degree in accounting or finance (required)

•Two years of accounting supervisory experience (required)

•Strong knowledge of GAAP

•Proficiency with MS Office applications (required)

Experience with TruckMate (preferred)

•Two years of experience in transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or construction (preferred)

•Position is based on-site, not eligible for remote work
