Job Summary: As an Accountant at INCOA Performance Minerals, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health of our organization. You will manage essential accounting functions, maintain accurate records, and provide actionable insights to guide strategic decisions. Your work will directly support INCOA's mission of delivering high-quality performance minerals by ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
•Maintain Financial Records: Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and documented.
•Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
•Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
•Tax Compliance: Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax filings and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
•Accounts Payable: Oversee invoicing and collections to maintain strong cash flow management.
•Audit Support: Work closely with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
•Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices to optimize accounting workflows and systems.
Core Outcomes:
•Deliver monthly financial reports on time with 100% accuracy, enabling leadership to make informed decisions.
•Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements, avoiding penalties or delays.
•Successfully implement at least one process improvement initiative per quarter that enhances efficiency or reduces costs.
•Maintain error-free financial records and reconciliations, achieving a 95% or higher accuracy rate during audits.
•Contribute to achieving company-wide financial goals by providing actionable insights through data analysis.
Who You’ll Work With:
You will report to the Controller and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and sales, to ensure alignment of financial practices with company goals. Additionally, you will partner with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies to maintain compliance and accuracy in all financial matters.
Qualifications:
•Accounting Principles & Practices: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including familiarity with accounting software and tools.
•Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills and strong attention to detail with an ability to spot and resolve discrepancies.
