Accountant

Responsibilities

- Execute all functions related to month end and year end closings

- Reconcile bank/balance sheet accounts

- Prepare and analyze financial statements

- Make recommendations based on financial statements

- Manage A/P, A/R

- Prepare and file payroll tax reports and W2's/1099's

- Prepare property tax report

- Interface with outside accounting firm in the preparation of state and federal tax reports

- Perform 401K administration/compliance/Form 5500 responsibilities

- Maintain cost system to ensure accurate item costs for pricing

- Develop overhead rates

- Conduct annual physical inventory

- Interface with liability insurance agents

- Prepare information for annual workers comp insurance audits

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

- 2+ years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment

- Strong knowledge of cost management principles and techniques

- Proficiency in technical accounting concepts and practices

- Excellent data collection and analysis skills

- Ability to write clear and concise financial reports

- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and vendors

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures

- Ability to perform cash flow analysis
