The purpose of the Account Manager position is to strategically manage customer relationships, foster business growth through strong partnerships, and drive sales performance by aligning technical and market-focused initiatives with the company’s overall objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing.
• Account Management & Business Development Manage existing accounts while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities; develop strategic action plans to achieve or exceed sales targets and foster long-term customer partnerships.
• Sales & Marketing Execution Drive sales success by presenting tailored solutions, managing pricing and product changes, and aligning proposals with broader marketing strategies to meet customer and market demands.
• Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers by responding promptly to their needs and delivering mutually beneficial solutions that support sustained growth.
• Team Collaboration & Leadership Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve business objectives, lead by example in sales excellence, and support the development and coordination of internal teams.
• Technical & Market Expertise Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, conduct market research to inform strategic decisions, and lead technical discussions for product development and customer projects.
What you’ll need to be a successful Account Manager - Thermal Fluids
• A minimum of 5 years in technical sales, with at least 3 years specifically in lubricants—ideally within the industrial or automotive sectors—providing the foundation for understanding complex customer needs and applications.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation abilities to effectively engage with internal teams and external clients, along with the emotional intelligence to build lasting partnerships and navigate complex interactions
• A proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies, create impactful proposals, and negotiate at a high level to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
• Strong planning and decision-making skills, paired with the ability to analyze data, improve sales performance, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork, with proficiency in tools like MS Office, Salesforce, and a willingness to adapt to new technologies—along with the initiative to lead by example and support cross-functional success.
