- Assists the production floor with their tooling needs, according to company and customer requirements, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, using safe practices and producing at the appropriate rate for the job.
- Operates manual surface grinders, Okamoto Grinder, and Acer Grinder to grind a wide variety of parts
- Works with Tool Room Staff to complete ordinary set ups involving holding fixtures, angle plates, or clamping to table
- Selects wheels, feeds, and depth of cut for grinding and sharpens wheels to maintain quality
- Assigns or checks out tooling as needed, checks in and stores incoming tooling and supplies, ensures all is stored safely
- Completes physical inventory counts, reports shortages, and reorders stock as needed
- Experience working in a manufacturing or related environment preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude including ability to read drawings, utilize hand tools and measuring tools, etc.
- Understanding of Tool Room terminology
- Pass required exam of basic math and English

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $16.50 - $20.00 USD with 10% shift premium totaling to $18.15 - $22.00 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. This role is bonus/and or incentive eligible.
