Job Summary: The Youth Program Coordinator will serve an integral role in providing and coordinating exciting youth programming and delivery of services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position will provide quality service and instruction, assist with ensuring compliance with all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures related to this service, supervise and develop staff, complete accurate record keeping, and ultimately enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of services.
- Facilitates the development and implementation of schedules – ensures participants receive the services developed within their program plans at the time and duration scheduled.
- Comply with all agency policies, procedures, and regulations, including health and safety guidelines.
- Develops, maintains, monitors and reviews paperwork, participants plan of service, conducts quality assurance reviews, and improvement planning to assure compliance and progress.
- Administer or interpret appropriate assessment instruments to determine participants skill level.
- Assist with curriculum development, schedule of topics to allow for diversity and meet interests of participants.
- Supervise, train, and teach participants individually or in groups to help them achieve plan objectives and increase their level of independence while ensuring all interactions are focused on the best interest of the participant.
- Consult with parents, staff, case managers and other community resources regarding participants' progress, specific disabilities, and behavior management techniques.
- Staff scheduling, supervision, training, and management including performance reports, incident reports, and weekly meetings.
- Completes monthly staff observations and annual performance reviews.
- Enforce administrative policies and procedures governing participant rights, independence, and responsibilities.
- Actively collaborates with peers and individual contributors to achieve the mission.
- Maintains and expands effective, collaborative relationships with schools, organizations, and community, serving as a liaison for our programs, staff, management, and community.
- Promotes services to potential participants and stakeholders.
- • Conducts tours and participates in public relations events as needed.

- Bachelor’s degree in a human service field from a nationally accredited university or college and State approved competency coursework.
- One (1) year experience developing and delivering youth programming.
- One (1) year supervised experience (1040 hours) working with children 3-21 years of age who demonstrate functional or behavioral needs.
- Participate in at least 12 hours of job-specific training annually.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) and social media.
- A self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be grounded, organized, and open to the changing demands of a small organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain rapport with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, self-directed in meeting job responsibilities.
- Ability to train/teach others; knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability; personality; and interests; learning and motivation.
- Problem solving, ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.
- First Aid and CPR certification is required to maintain employment in this position.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed for a job site.
- Current driver's license, current insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Successfully pass criminal history screening with fingerprinting.
- Pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Monday through Friday; variable hours
- 25-30 hours per week
- Exact schedule depends on program and participant enrollment
Base Pay: $18.00 per hour depending on experience.
- Employees working an average of 25 hours per week for three consecutive months, will be eligible for pro-rated health care benefits including medical, dental, and vision.
- Paid holiday, sick, and vacation is accrue on a pro-rated basis.
