Workover Rig Mechanic

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Workover Rig Mechanic to join our team. As a Rig Mechanic, you will reassemble, diagnose, and repair issues with our fleet of workover rig’s performance and function.

You must have an in-depth understanding of all workover rig systems and components for various manufacturers. Experience is a must. You will mainly be working on rigs and components at our shop. You will also occasionally diagnose and repair issues at our field locations in multiple states.

Responsibilities

· Assist with the disassembly, loading, and reassembly of rig equipment during rig overhauls

· Diagnose and repair workover rigs coming into the shop or out on location

· Carry out routine workover rig repair jobs such as brake adjustments, brake jobs, clutch repairs, hydromatic or disc repairs, draw works repairs and anything else rig-related

· Conduct in-depth rig inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, derrick, and brakes

· Maintain accurate repair and inspection records

Qualifications

· 3 years’ minimum experience is required

· Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is essential

· Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are critical for efficiently resolving complex mechanical issues

· We will verify experience with previous or current employers

· Strong teamwork and communication skills are required

· Valid driver’s license is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
