Employee is committed to achieving maximum effectiveness in serving our customers and working with fellow employees. Maintains a safe working environment, conducts pre-job safety meetings and weekly tailboard safety meetings. Practices and enforces good housekeeping on assigned equipment and at job sites. Under general supervision and based on crew makeup and work assignment, directs the work of others and performs skilled work on the journeyman level in the construction and maintenance of transmission and distribution electrical facilities owned and/or operated by the company. Assists in the training of future journeymen and crew personnel. May sometimes be transported to work locations by fixed wing, rotor, or other means of company transportation.

Must view personnel safety as the number one priority - ability to perceive and analyze hazardous situations. Must communicate well with others, both oral and written. Ability to work from drawings and specifications and to effectively carry out oral or written instructions. Ability to analyze and resolve problems, make independent decisions and assume responsibilities for assigned jobs. Good physical condition, dependable, and willing to work long hours when required.
Successful completion of Electrician Apprenticeship or equivalent. Minimum three years’ experience as a Substation Electrician (6 months at SRP) or equivalent experience.
Completion of an appropriate Apprenticeship program or equivalent.
Appropriate respirator medical certification, fit test and training required.

Must possess the appropriate valid Arizona driver’s license.
