Overview:
The Wireline Helper supports the wireline crew in field operations by assisting with the preparation, transport, maintenance, and rig-up/rig-down of wireline equipment. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry while learning safety procedures and operational best practices under the guidance of experienced crew members.
Responsibilities:
•Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting wireline tools, equipment, and supplies to and from well sites.
•Help rig up and rig down equipment safely and efficiently at well locations.
•Clean and maintain tools, vehicles, and work areas before and after operations.
•Support the wireline operator/engineer with tool preparation and equipment inspections.
•Follow directions and assist with cable handling, pressure control equipment, and tool string assembly.
•Monitor and report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to the supervisor.
•Adhere strictly to all company safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
•Perform other general labor tasks and duties as assigned on location or in the shop.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
•Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and take direction.
•Ability to work in outdoor environments, including extreme weather and remote areas.
•Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
•Comfortable working irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
•Previous oilfield or mechanical labor experience is a plus but not required.
