Wind Turbine Technician (Experience Not Required)

Applicant Requirements

- Basic knowledge of electrical safety.

- Proficiency in using hand tools.

- Ability to learn how to use diagnostic equipment on open electrical circuits.

- Must be comfortable working at 60-foot heights and climbing turbine towers regularly.

- Excellent communication skills with a focus on safety and quality assurance.

- A valid driver’s license.

Job Task Responsibilities

- Work with high voltage systems in compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.

- Climb turbine towers safely to perform job tasks at elevated heights.

- Document all service activities accurately in accordance with company policies.

- Utilize voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical system.

Job Overview

A wind power plant in Tehachapi CA has a full-time, temporary position available for a wind turbine technician. 40-hr work week Monday-Friday, 7:00AM – 3:00PM.

Prior work experience on wind turbines is not necessary; however the applicant must have good communication skills, a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to climb and work on 65kW wind turbines at heights of 60 feet, multiple times a day.

Starting wage is negotiable for experienced applicants and will be based on relevant work experience, qualifications and references.
