Your contribution!
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and carrying out repairs and maintenance on wind turbines. Your experience, resourcefulness, ability to work under pressure, strong sense of responsibility, and independence will make you the ideal candidate.
Your day-to-day!
- Ensure the proper functioning of wind turbines and identify any anomalies that may arise;
- Identify, locate, and repair defects with members of the operations and maintenance team;
- Plan and perform preventive maintenance, maintain maintenance and intervention records;
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at all times.
- At least 3 years of experience in the wind energy sector or in a similar role as a technician;
- Strong sense of responsibility, commitment to a job well done, and a safety-first attitude at all times;
- Resourceful and able to work well under pressure;
- Ability to perform manual labour or supervision outdoors despite harsh weather conditions;
- Ability to climb an 80-metre vertical ladder without assistance and perform work at height. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate their ability to climb a wind turbine within a reasonable time frame during the recruitment process.
- Available to work overtime and be on call when required;
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license;
- Experience gained in the operation or maintenance of wind turbines. Any other experience deemed relevant to the position will be taken into account;
- College attestation (AEC) in wind turbine maintenance;
- Training in electromechanics or electricity will be considered and given preference;
- Good computer skills: relevant experience with SCADA systems and PLCs is an asset;
- Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written) required to ensure collaboration with various stakeholders outside Quebec on a recurring basis.
- The position is based at the Mesgi’g Ugju’s’n wind facility.
- This position is an O3 level.
