A well-established general contractor based in St. Louis, is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our team (It's probably going to be 25-30 hours a week as it's a new role based on growth in the area) . We are a small, yet reputable company known for excellence in construction projects. We have a history of very low turnover, with many employees staying here over a long period of time. Our projects are for repeat clients, primarily government and institutional. Our projects may involve interior remodeling, site work, parking lot paving replacement, HVAC, electrical, loading docks and much more.
We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage a variety of construction projects and facility maintenance tasks. Projects typically range from a few thousand to multi million dollars. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with our high standards of quality.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects from start to finish.
- Manage and supervise subcontractors across various trades including interior construction, parking lot paving, HVAC, electrical, and more.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet company quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure project specifications are met.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management.
- Oversee facility upgrades, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Foster a positive working environment and ensure effective communication among project teams.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management or facilities management.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and overseeing various types of construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel minimally as required.
