Repair Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the repair of compressor components for shop repair center.
- Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment, and for ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner.
- Plans, schedules, and oversees all repair work in a manner that optimizes safety, profitability, and job quality.
- Ensures that required parts/materials are available.
- Oversees the trouble-shooting, re-building, and reconditioning of repair jobs.
- Researches parts specifications to determine proper tolerances.
- Inspects repair work that is received and makes repair vs. replace decisions.
- Supervises, or self-performs repair work.
- Machines metal parts required for needed repairs.
- Ensures proper cleaning of repaired or reconditioned parts (via liquid cleaning or sandblasting).
- Provides daily direction to repair personnel and monitors daily productivity to ensure all repair schedules are maintained and that all jobs completed on time.
- Ensures that required general maintenance is performed on machines in order to keep them in good working order, and that work areas are kept clean and free of unnecessary debris.
- Prepares required inspection and repair reports and records.
- Performs quality assurance activities to ensure that all repair work is completed to desired tolerances and specifications, and is consistent with CECO’s quality standards.
- Other duties as required.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in related field and 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
Exerts up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
