Welding Lead: Welding Supervisor

About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, experienced Welding Lead to supervise and inspire our welding team. In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily welding operations, ensuring top-quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
•Lead, coordinate, and schedule welding activities to meet production goals and quality requirements.
•Provide day-to-day supervision, training, and mentorship to a team of welders.
•Ensure compliance with engineering specs, safety regulations, and company policies.
•Inspect welds for quality and conformance, and take corrective actions when needed.
•Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve workflow and solve technical issues.
•Manage inventory and maintenance of welding tools, supplies, and equipment.
•Conduct and document safety training, audits, and corrective actions.
•Promote a team-oriented environment that values accountability.
•Track labor performance and identify non-conforming products and processes.
Qualifications
•Experience: Minimum 5 years of welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
•Education/Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or certifications (e.g., AWS CWI, welding certifications) preferred.
•Proficient in MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
•Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
•Leadership: Strong communication, coaching, and team-building abilities.
•Problem-Solving: Able to troubleshoot issues and implement practical, lasting solutions.
•Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and experience with ERP systems.
•Safety: Solid understanding of OSHA and workplace safety regulations.

Schedule
•Monday–Friday: 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
•Saturday: 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM (First Saturday optional; remaining Saturdays required)

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
