Luff Industries Ltd, is currently accepting resumes for 2nd and 3rd year Welding apprentices to join our growing manufacturing team.

Working as part of our nightshift, apprentice Welders are a key part of our production team. They will perform the daily production activities required for fabricating parts and components used in our products and for our customers.
- Always follow Safety rules and procedures by having a focus on maintaining a strong safety culture by always maintaining personal safety awareness.
- Follow the documented quality work procedures (QWPs) to ensure product is made to our established standards and documentation.
- Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine an appropriate welding process.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of a variety of work involving the use of acetylene and /or electric arc welding equipment to face or cut metallic articles, parts, or materials.
- Assist Journeyman welder in most projects to learn all phases of the job. articles, parts, or materials.
- Any other Duties as required for the success of the business.
- Work to educate other employees on the applicable quality standards when defects are identified to help prevent recurrence of quality issues.
Applicants will bring the following education, skills, and experience:
- Currently Registered as a 2nd or 3rd year Welding Apprentice.
- Welding Experience: Proficient in various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Fabrication: Skilled in fabricating metal structures and components according to specifications
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical principles and metalworking processes
- Press Brake Machine: Experience operating press brake machines for bending and shaping metal.
- Basic Math: Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and dimensions,
- Crane: Experience and training for safely rigging material for lifting and moving heavy material.
- Experience: Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards / terms or experience working in an ISO 9001 environment.

Starting wage for the position will be based on the successful candidate’s particular combination of skills, Education, and experience. Future increases will be made according to the employee performance evaluation process.
