SUMMARY: 4 x10 hr shifts, Mon - Thurs 5am - 3:30 pm
As a Welder, you will be a critical team member ensuring that LandMaster UTVs are built and shipped successfully – meeting our unwavering commitment to quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Set up components for welding according to specifications.
•Welds components using MIG welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
•Test and inspect welded surface and structure to discover flaws.
•Be capable of increasing speed with repetition of welds and be consistent with the integrity of weld.
•Move parts in and move finished product out of welding area.
•Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
•Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; ensure tools, equipment, gages and fixtures are in good working order.
•Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
•Accomplish organization goals by contributing to quality discussions and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE):
Welding certification or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
•Proven experience as welder
•Experience using MIG welding equipment
•Ability to use weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
•Technical knowledge and ability to read work instructions blueprints, drawings etc.
•Knowledge of safety standards
•Good written and oral communication skills
•Excellent eye-hand coordination
•Must be able to identify and measure material and perform simple math
