Welder

TFC, Inc. is a mid-sized metal fabrication facility located in the Maumelle/North Little Rock area. We specialize in large quantity orders of fabricated sheet metal. We have laser, turret punch, press brake, welding, powder coating, and machine capabilities all in house. We primarily operate within the 1/4 inch - 22ga range of material, and produce products for a huge range of industries. We have been in business since 1993, and were fortunate enough to continue hiring through most of the pandemic, and never have a layoff. We currently employ around 30 employees in a variety of positions, and many of our long-term employees enjoy the comradery associated with a smaller manufacturing operation such as ours. This position is for welding operations in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment. The business engages primarily in mass production operations, so production efficiency and speed (while maintaining quality) is important. At first the employee will be coached on the processes of the shop, but will be expected to become more independent as quickly as possible. Previous experience in welding is required, with strong preference given to those with experience in sheet metal. Print reading will be essential, and will be strongly preferred during the application process. Welding test will be required. We operate MIG and TIG welders, and do a considerable amount of work with stainless steel. Promotion and raise opportunities available, along with bonuses for performance, and direct interaction with senior management nearly daily makes this easy for high performers.

Weekends and overtime may be available/requested as needed by the business. Hours are 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Thursday (four 10 hour days instead of five 8.)

This is not an air conditioned facility. While we try to make the environment as comfortable as possible, the job can be dirty and it can get hot during the summer months. We strive to make the work environment as pleasant as possible within reason.
