Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and a solid understanding of mechanical principles. This role involves working with a robot welder and requires proficiency in using tools such as micrometers and calipers. The Welder will be responsible for fabricating products and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the welding process.
Responsibilities
•Receive work order, blue prints, and any instructions for the job
•Plan the details of the work order, tools, and material required
•Accurately count all parts and verifies with work order
•Notify Supervisor when discrepancies occur with work order
•Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded
•Set up, assemble, and weld parts
•Fabricate the product by welding various metals
•Check work to ensure a high-quality product is produced
•Clean all heavy splatter from welded parts
•Inform Supervisor of needed supplies, materials, and equipment
•Collaborate with other team associates while simultaneously developing a team environment
•Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures
•Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
•Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and defective/questionable materials to Supervisor
•Provide hands-on job function training to co-workers and new associates as needed
•Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies needed to accomplish job results
•Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to facilitate manufacturing functions, and follow safety regulations
•Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision
•Perform other duties and assignments as requested
Skills
•Operate a MIG Welder and Robotics Welder
•Must be able to operate a sander, hard stone grinder and scraping chisels
•Good math, reading, and writing skills
•Must possess, or have the ability, to develop knowledge of products manufactured
•Prompt arrival and regular attendance at work
•Must be able to wear personal protective equipment
•Pleasant and cooperative with co-workers
•Must be able to read a tape measure
•Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
•Must be able to read and understand blue prints and weld symbols
