· Welder Helper

· Superintendent

Purpose:

· Assist welder(s) in securing components together to ensure accurate welds. This position will also work as a member of the project’s labor force when not engaging in direct welding support

Responsibilities:

· Assist in the preparation of material for welding by cutting or grinding using pipe cutters, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and/or grinder

· Set material in stands, racks, hoists, etc. for welding

· Performs tasks assigned by Welder or Foreman’s

· Buffs and or grinds as needed for Welder

· Follows oral and written directions.

· Assists in cleaning worksite after workday is over.

· Learns proper use & maintenance of various tools.

· Follows all MEC's policies and procedures

· Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Experience:

· One year of industrial/construction/general labor experience

License:
