Welder Helper

The welder helper primarily assist welders in the fabrication, repair and maintenance of metal structures, piping and equipment. They support skilled welders by performing tasks that require less expertise but are key to the successful completion of welding projects.

+ Maintain compliance with the required HSE Training. + Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe. + Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident. + Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements required by the client. + Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services. + Cooperate with the site supervisor to document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working. + Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client. + Promote and participate in Safety Programs.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.

Position may involve exposure to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors. This position may involve working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.
