Welder/Fitter Day Shift & Swing Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role involves working on construction sites and in manufacturing environments, where precision and attention to detail are paramount. The Welder/Fitter will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and schematics, ensuring compliance with ASME codes and standards, and utilizing a variety of tools and equipment to complete projects efficiently.

Duties

- Perform MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on various materials including sheet metal and ductwork.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for fabrication tasks.

- Conduct pipe threading, rigging, and assembly of components as required.

- Operate cranes and forklifts safely to transport materials around the worksite.

- Measure dimensions using calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy in fabrication.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Requirements

- Proven experience in welding, fabrication, and construction site environments.

- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, and soldering techniques.

- Familiarity with mechanical knowledge including assembly processes and machining practices.

- Strong understanding of ASME codes & standards related to welding practices.

- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material requirements.

- Experience with ductwork installation and manufacturing processes is preferred.

- Capability to operate cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
