Job Description

- Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the job.

- Use and inspect required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Follow all company safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

- Meet company quality standards for welding and fabrication as directed by supervision.

- Ability to understand and interpret drawings, layout specifications, sketches, or verbal instructions to fit and align fabricated parts (sheet metal, plate, I-beams, piping, etc.).

- Weld basic and complex parts, tubing, plate, etc.

- Operate air tools, power tools, and equipment according to safety policies.

- Move materials between machinery, baskets, racks, and pallets.

- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean as needed.

- Report safety concerns, near misses, property damage, and injuries immediately.

- Work 40 hours per week, plus overtime as needed.

Job Specifications

I. Required Skills

- Experienced combo welder with the ability to pass 3G and 4G weld tests (vertical uphill and overhead).

- Welding experience specifically with flux core and hardwire welding.

- Ability to establish and maintain courtesy, dignity, trust, and respect with supervisors and coworkers.

- Effective communication in person, by telephone, and via two-way radio.

- Ability to read fabrication drawings.

- Fabrication experience including positioning, aligning, fitting, and welding parts in accordance with blueprints and layout specs in a shop environment.

- Familiarity with safe work practices and safety procedures.

- Experience welding MIG, etc. (Materials worked with: Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum).

- Must have basic math skills.

- Must possess a strong work ethic, be punctual, and able to work day, evening, or night shifts.

- Must have a valid driver’s license.

II. Physical Requirements

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol, and physical examination.

- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand, reach, and bend throughout an 8–10 hour shift.

- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

- Must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
