Welder Dedicated to Rolloff Boxes

Position Overview

Gold Star Metals is seeking a skilled and motivated Welder. This individual will be responsible for tracking, maintaining, and repairing rolloff boxes deployed across customer sites. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to balance field work with basic administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Tracking & Inventory:

- Maintain accurate records of rolloff box locations, usage, and rotation schedules.

- Monitor condition and availability of boxes to ensure operational efficiency.

Maintenance & Repairs:

- Perform inspections of rolloff boxes to identify damage or wear.

- Conduct welding, cutting, and other repairs as needed to maintain safety and usability.

- Ensure all rolloff boxes meet Gold Star Metals’ safety and quality standards.

Deployment & Retrieval:

- Coordinate with drivers and operations staff for the placement and pickup of rolloff boxes.

- Support logistics and scheduling for timely service to customers.

Administrative & Reporting:

- Use Microsoft Excel and other basic computer programs to update logs, track repairs, and record movements.

- Prepare simple reports for management on utilization, condition, and service needs.

Qualifications

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

- Proficiency in welding and basic fabrication (MIG, Stick, or equivalent).

- Ability to operate power tools and safely handle heavy equipment.

- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and other office software.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

- Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

- Ability to climb, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
