We are looking for a motivated and energetic candidate to fill our welder service technician position. We manufacture and install compactors and garbage bins for the property management industry.
As a service technician you will be driving our company vehicle to various locations within the GTA to do onsite welding repairs. While your work will be primarily on customer sites, you will also be working in shop.
- Fabricate and weld metal components according to blueprints and specifications
- Assemble and fit parts to form complete units or subassemblies
- Operate press brake machine to bend, shape, and form metal pieces
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and finish metal parts
- Rig and position large metal pieces for welding or assembly
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workmanship
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Must have a valid G drivers license with a good driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a fabricator/welder
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication techniques
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and dimensions
- Forklift certification is preferred but not required
