Welder/Fabricator

Regal Tanks Ltd./Tidy Steel-Fab Ltd. is looking for a full-time employee to join our team as a Welder / Fabricator. Regal Tanks Ltd. was incorporated in 1973 and originally created back in 1943 by our founder Tom Tidy. Since then, we have manufactured innumerable tanks for the liquid storage of Diesel, Gasoline, Jet Fuel & other various chemicals for customers worldwide!

Primary Job Description:

- Steel Fuel Tank Fabricator/Welder

- Manufacturing Structural Steel Components (platforms, ladders, piping, etc..)

- Cutting holes into steel for insertion of tank fittings.

- Installation of tank fittings and components as required by blueprints.

- Welding longitudinal & cylindrical seams along our horizontal fuel tanks.

- Welding corner joints or fillet joints on rectangular fuel tanks.

- Welding assembly connections of staircases, platforms, saddles, etc..

- Physically demanding production work.

Additional Duties/Tasks:

- Aiding in production testing of new tanks

- Handling materials with forklifts & overhead cranes.

- Flame and plasma cutting as required.

- Utilization of various tools for manufacturing purposes (grinders, welders, iron workers, drill press, etc..)

- Working with/helping current crew in completing their tasks.

Requirements:

- Welding Experience

- Ability to read Blueprints/Drawings

Tools & Equipment:

- Welding Helmet

- Steel Toe Boots

- Chipping Hammer

- Striker

- 5 to 6” Angle Grinder

- Mig Pliers

Assets:

- Jet Rod & Wire Welding

- Welding Tickets

- FCAW experience & SMAW experience

- All Position Welding

- Machine & Forklift Operating

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
