JOB SUMMARY
This person will be responsible for set-up, lay-out, and tack up of a basic weldment to print. He/she must have the ability to tack up a structure and to weld out a part per drawing. He/she must also perform the final required cosmetic finish with angle grinders and sanders. The fabricator may use ten/thirty ton cranes in a safe manner and “rigging” knowledge is necessary. He/she will read basic prints and “spec. weld symbols” in conjunction with required job details. The fabricator will primarily work with mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

EQUIPMENT USEDWelding machines, including Tig (AC and DC) and Mig Welder, Stick Welder, operate 4.5 inch and 7 inch angle grinder, plasma cutter, oxy-act cutting torch, and various clamps and fixtures
WORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONSLifting up to 50lbs regularly and 75lbs occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity and visual acuity
