We specialize in metal fabrication- using light- to medium-thickness metals serving a number of industries.
- Provide actionable and measurable daily plans for all shifts with goals on production and time with input from the Production Manager.
- Schedule workflow of all manual welding operations.
- Improve efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness of department throughput.
- Work with Human Resources on all weld hiring including administering weld tests and providing input on continual improvement for weld interviews.
- Oversight of all quality and inspection requirements.
- Ensure high quality products by guiding operators and leads in corrective/preventative actions to address root cause.
- Work with high school, college and active work force employees to create and maintain pipelines of recruitment.
- Enforce all safety rules including participation for yourself and employees in all safety trainings.- 5+ years' experience in a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment
- CWI or CAWI preferred and expert reading blueprints
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a welding or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, Stick welding, and soldering.
- Familiarity with mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, rigging, machining, plasma cutting, and basic math skills.
- Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Experience with fabrication processes and assembly techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for effective project execution.
- Competence in operating forklifts and other heavy machinery safely on construction sites.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
