Job Summary
The Water Treatment Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient treatment of drinking water. This position involves operating and maintaining water treatment facilities, conducting routine inspections, and performing necessary repairs to equipment and distribution systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various control systems.
- Operate and monitor water treatment systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with EPA, AZDEQ, and safety regulations.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on treatment equipment, pumps, motors, and plumbing systems.
- Collect data on water quality and treatment processes for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks related to equipment installation or repair.
- Collaborate with construction teams on facility upgrades or new installations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with water treatment systems and processes.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic math skills for data analysis and calculations related to water treatment processes.
- Excellent analytical skills for evaluating data collected during operations.
- Experience in plumbing is a plus, enhancing the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
