RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT MAY NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Maintain and operate water distribution lines
- Assist with main and service line repairs
- Operate heavy equipment and a variety of tools
- Monitor pump stations; read charts, gauges & dials
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment
- Collect water samples, test water quality, flush mains
- Maintain daily logs and prepare reports
- Work with contractors and inspectors as needed
- Provide excellent customer service
- Respond to emergencies appropriately
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in Water Distribution preferred, but not required
- C Surface Water License preferred, but not required (must obtain within a reasonable time frame after employment. The District will provide assistance for employee to attend required training.)
- Valid Texas Class C driver’s license required
- Ability to obtain a Class A CDL (must obtain within a reasonable time frame after employment. The District can provide assistance for employee to attend required training, if needed.)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic; dependable and safety-minded
- Must live close enough for timely on-call response
