Washbay Attendant

Position Summary

This position is responsible for cleaning equipment in the wash bay.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Operate a large variety of equipment to move it in and out of the wash bay.

- Use a pressurized water hose to wash equipment prior to maintenance work.

- Change soap barrels and nozzles for pressure washer as required.

- Keep the wash bay organized and clean of mud and debris.

- Clean, roll, and return wash hoses to the hangers.

- Inspect wash bay grates and sump levels and report any concerns.

- Operate support equipment such as forklift and skid steer.

- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights.

Schedule

This position currently follows a 28-day shift rotation working 12-hour day and night shifts from 6:00 to 6:00. The shift rotation is: 3 days, 2 off, 2 nights, 3 off, 2 days, 2 off, 3 nights, 2 off, 2 days, 3 off, 2 nights, 2 off.

Location

The Estevan Mine is located approximately 12 km from the city of Estevan and 16 km from the town of Bienfait. The successful candidate will be responsible for his/her own accommodations and transportation.
