This position is part of the Wash Department. Team member is responsible for facilitating the parts flow through the wash and vibratory operations. Team member works independently on regularly scheduled tasks with periodic interaction with manager and supervisor.
Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED. Mechanical experience preferred.
Duties include but are not limited to: Operate, facilitate and maintain the parts flow through the wash system and vibratory machines, bulk pack parts, assist machine operators with tagging parts, responsible for storage and storage area of parts, complete required paperwork, monitor in-house inventory levels of wash, and maintain a clean, safe and efficient work environment, and other assignments as needed.
Employee will be exposed to the noise, fumes and temperature extremes typically found in a light manufacturing environment. Risk of injury from being in close proximity of operating machinery is possible, but unlikely if proper safety precautions are followed. Lifting requirements for this position dictate that the employee must be physically capable of lifting a minimum of 40# on a repetitive basis and a maximum of 80# on an occasional basis.
All employees must wear PPE which includes hearing protection and safety glasses, both of which are provided by RIMA, and slip resistant shoes which the employee provides. RIMA has a prescription safety glass program and safety shoe reimbursement program that is available to employees after 90 days of employment.
