About the Opportunity

As Warehouse person you will be responsible for processing orders while maintaining the highest level of service possible at our Knoxville, TN location.

Responsibilities

- Cut customer orders using metal cutting equipment such as saws, hydraulic sheer, etc to exact customer specifications.

- Receive, identify and stock incoming materials as required.

- Assist in proper maintenance of equipment (saws, forklift etc) ensuring safety first for everyone

- Ensure Warehouse is clean, organized and safe at all times

- Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

- Excellent customer relationship skills

- Ability to accurately use measuring instruments – i.e.: tape measure and dial calipers

- Motivated and enthusiastic

- Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines

- Physically able to frequently lift/move metal product weighing 50 -100 lbs

- High school diploma

- Forklift experience a plus

- Previous experience in Metal /steel industry preferred

- Computer skills - MS office, etc

- Metal and metal related product knowledge a definite asset

Metal Supermarkets provides a competitive compensation package including salary, paid holidays/vacation, and incentive plan. All applicants must pass drug screen. Must also have current drivers license and have clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
