The Warehouse Technician is responsible for maintaining required inventory levels ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; verifying stock and identifying losses; maintaining an organized warehouse layout; processes purchase orders; load outgoing freight; unload incoming freight; maintains records; and manages all returns. Position requires work inside as well as outside, including working in inclement weather.
- Operates warehouse equipment (e.g. forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) for the purpose of moving large and heavy items safely and effectively
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks
- Ensure customer orders are correct and assists customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintains a viable relationship with truck drivers and customers to ensure needs are met at all times.
- Reports problems to supervisor in a timely and accurate manner and follow-up to ensure problem resolutions.
- Keep area clean and remove snow as needed
- Maintains, labels and organizes warehouse and products in accordance with Distributor Product Integrity Manual (DPIM)rules and regulations for filling and sampling products.
- Ability and willingness to use safety glasses, safety shoes, and ear plugs
- Ability to work overtime up to 45 hours per week (Monday to Friday with potential of working Saturdays and Sundays as needed)
- Self-motivated and ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situation
- Ability to work outdoors in below zero temperatures in the winter months
- Ability to lift/move up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to obtain Forklift certification within 3 months
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
