Warehouse Picker/Packer

POSITION TITLE: Order Packer

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: Warehouse

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Handling and moving of material, exercising care and safety and staging material. Picking orders and sales orders, conveying materials within the plant, yard, or designated work centers. Relocating material and performing cycle counts on selected material. Filling orders from Sales Order Sheets. Identifying and packaging of materials, kitting of sales orders, driving forklifts or material handling equipment and exercising safety and care of the products. The above description covers the most significant duties performed but does not exclude other occasional work assignments not mentioned.

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements for this position includes packing experience in the steel industry, primarily with sheet and bar stock. Also, a knowledge of computers, shipping and inventory control is required. Forklift license is an asset.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
